A one-liner from an old song that is stuck in my mind.

Heartache, broken people, ruined lives are why You died on Calvary.

Give me one hundred men who love only God with all their heart and hate only sin with all their heart, and we will shake the gates of hell and bring in the kingdom of God in one generation.

Inside ONE80 - Something To Say

That fine line between relevance and worldliness. Yesterday’s message spoke to me.

“In the Bible worldliness is exposed as an internal, invisible problem before it’s an external, visible problem, which makes it much harder to detect.”

Much more than the clothes we wear and the music we listen to, are we worldly in our attitudes and the way we think? Do we love the ways of this world?

Daniel was one of the brightest minds in his time, yet he chose not to conform to the patterns of his culture when it was convenient and sometimes perhaps attractive. He chose to pray and abstain from worldly appetites. Daniel truly was and still is an inspiration in a godless society which bowed to idols.

We might not be the elite in society, the little actions and decisions we choose to make in our daily lives might not even be observed by the people around us. However, will we choose to compromise and quietly indulge ourselves in our fleshly desires or be a peculiar people who refuse to bow to the golden image of worldliness?

That is the question.

Back to my 3000 word folio. :S
